My latest creation combines my love of water colors, baseball, and retro inspired designs. The initial inspiration behind these were old tobacco cards. 1888 Duke “Perilous Occupations” (N86) featured the subject in front of a stylized background, with a large white space surrounding it. I found photographs of the exteriors of every MLB stadium, ran them through a painting process, and added the subjects with a light litho affect on them. I ended up creating 30 pieces, one for each team and stadium.
