One of my favorite things to do is “correct” cards that I believe could have used a little more time in the “design oven”. I’ve been there as a designer, under a deadline, and you end up with something that works but that you wish you could have worked on a little longer. Fortunately for me, I don’t have deadlines when I’m making cards for fun, so I can obsess over every detail, and work on cards for as long as it takes. This Team USA card is a total redesign of the official cards. Each element was replaced with what I thought was a stronger element. Better flag, better font, better background elements, better photos (without the ridiculously heavy shadows), etc.
